I wanted to write this because of a conversation I had. However before I start here is a little about me. I am a Photographer in south Florida. I love nature and the Beauty in it. Ever since I was a kid I enjoyed the outdoors and traveled to see different places. I am the kind of person if told something is impossible or way to hard I had to do it or find ways it could be done.
I was in scouts then went off with a group of friends to start our own explorers troop with the rangers. Took survival courses and Bushcrafting learned a lot about the land. Up to a few years ago I had an accident leave it at that and lost most of my vision. So I have low vision now and spent a lot of time learning how to use my condition and to continue as a normal person so to speak, which was made easier sense once when I was a young kid I did lose my vision all together and eventually got it back. And now I eventually took on a hobby of mine with the camera, and found that I enjoyed it even more. Because I can take an image on the computer to be able to blow it up and see it not only how I use to see them but to find all that is hidden for the most part. The thrill of finding that shot and capturing that moment and being able to show it off . Can make you not only feel normal but shows how anyone can do anything.
If you have a disability us it to your advantage. show the world that it doesn’t mean the end but a beginning. Here is a link to a photographer with even more vision problems then me and yet he is an award winning photographer. HERE and HERE
Life Is short don’t let others dictate your life for you, live it and find your path. If you are told something is impossible for you look at it and figure your way. Don’t let them hold you back and make you feel less because when you do it, you will have proven you are more then they are and there is always a way.
